Our Life Skills class for grades 6-8, and juniors is up and going. This class will teach students some of the things they will need to know in order to become independent, well informed and successful young adults post high school. In this first year of offering the Life Skills class, students in all grades will learn many of the same things, but the depth of it will vary due to age and grade level appropriateness. Topics to be discussed will include Personal Growth, Basic Etiquette, Dressing for Success, Basic Household Chores, Basic First Aid, Basic Tools and Construction, Simple Vehicle Maintenance, Financial Literacy, College and Job Success, Basic Plumbing, and Electrical FYI’s. Guest speakers will also be invited to speak to the students and share their wealth of knowledge on many of these topics.
