We received word from 4-H and Youth Development Agent Michael McManus that one of our 9th grade students, Maggie Harrill, has been selected to attend the South Carolina 4-H Legislative Day at the SC Statehouse on March 10, 2015.
Mr. McManus reports that "she is one of only twelve students statewide selected to attend this prestigious event. Maggie will have a chance to meet both Senator Malloy and Representative Henegan along with other state leaders. In addition, she will be introduced in both the House and Senate Chambers and will be able to witness our legislative system at work. Maggie will also be trained first hand in how to become an informed citizen and why it's important to be an educated voter."
We are proud of her and all of our students! Let us know of the great opportunities your student is involved in by sending us a message (or a press release) via email to social@marlboroacademy.com.
