Marlboro Academy, located in Bennettsville South Carolina, is excited to announce that it is opening a 4K program later this year.
Marlboro Academy is also excited to announce that Ms. Amy Peele Sloop of Scotland County North Carolina will be the director of the new 4K program. Ms. Sloop is a native of Laurinburg and will soon complete a twenty-nine-year career in the Scotland County Schools System.
Ms. Sloop holds an Associate of Arts from Peace College, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a Master of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. In addition, she holds an Administrative Certificate from Wingate University.
Ms. Sloop has extensive teaching experience in elementary grades as well as experience as a principal and an assistant principal. Also, Ms. Sloop has worked in an administrative role at the high school.
Ms. Sloop has one daughter, Bailey, who is a junior at North Carolina State University majoring in biology and environmental science. She is also mom to her rescue dog, Bandit. He majors in naps and walks around the neighborhood. When she is not traveling or planning her next adventure, Ms. Sloop enjoys cooking and shopping.
Joe Critcher, Headmaster at Marlboro Academy, adds that Ms. Sloop “has enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a love for children of all ages.” We feel very lucky at Marlboro Academy to have someone as qualified as Ms. Sloop to lead our new 4K program!
