Mission
Marlboro Academy is a college preparatory school that is committed to its students and their highest level of academic achievement, dedicated to a superior development of character and moral integrity, and devoted to maintaining an environment that is safe, nurturing, and conducive to physical well-being.
Philosophy
Marlboro Academy emphasizes a traditional, structured program of academics, athletics, extra-curricular activities, community service, and special events for the education of the whole child. The faculty expects students to stretch their abilities and to strive to attain their potential. To help them meet those responsibilities, teachers seek to know and understand our students as individuals and provide them with challenges, encouragement, and support they need to grow intellectually and personally. Students participate actively in extra-curricular activities and events. Teachers stress opportunities to develop special interests and talents, to take initiative, and to work cooperatively and effectively with others. Good discipline is essential to the learning environment and to the tone of daily life. It begins with self-discipline and consideration for others. Students are expected to understand and to observe not only the school's basic rules and regulations but also the standards of conduct appropriate to the given situation in a setting where civility and mutual respect are the rule, not the exception.
