COLLEGE PLACEMENT
Marlboro Academy is a college preparatory school. The goal of the College Placement Counselor is to help guide the student in what will be each student’s best fit. While close to 80% of graduating seniors enroll in a four year college after graduation, sometimes students choose to enroll in a two year college or to do something else. Each student’s educational choices include personal decisions made by the student with the help from the family. Students should not base their decisions on what their friends are doing because everyone’s situation is different. Also, every spring, the College Placement Counselor holds a Rising Junior Meeting and a Rising Senior Meeting to go over the college application process and to discuss Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit opportunities through NETC/RCC. At this meeting, advisors from NETC/RCC will be on hand to help guide students in their best options at those colleges. Below is information that should help you through the process of applying to college and determining your best choices while in high school.
